Shows were suspended at the time of writing at this white-box non-profit, due to 'compliance issues' with the city authorities. We hope these are successfully dealt with so 21 Grand can get back to hosting art shows as well as some of the more innovative musical programming in the East Bay: you're as likely to catch Sonic Youth complementing an SF arena slot opening for Pearl Jam with an intimate and experimental noise performance at this space as you are avant up-and-comers such as the Gowns, the High Places, Why? and Zeena Parkins.
