The venerable, booze-free Freight is a much-loved outpost of traditional music in all its incarnations, from folk to gospel. The monthly calendar might include sets from Iris Dement, Vasen, Lucy Kaplansky or the David Grisman Bluegrass Experience, plus Hawaiian slack-key players, Iraqi oud pluckers, Hungarian violinists or austere Appalachian mandolinists.
