With decades of experience as one of the city's best steakhouses, Alfred's feels like a bit of San Francisco gone by, but it continues to prove itself worthy of a fiercely loyal fanbase. The chief attractions are giant Chicago ribeyes, tender T-bones and a porterhouse that covers the plate, but the fish and pasta are also from the top drawer. The bar, which mixes superlative martinis, stocks more than 100 single malts.
