Alioto's began as a sidewalk stand serving crab and shrimp cocktails to passers-by. Now, more than eight decades later, it's a hugely popular restaurant owned by a prominent local family. The room offers an amazing view of the Bay, enough to draw in tourists year-round, but the kitchen still manages to turn out decent (if pricey) seafood, as well as fish-centred Sicilian specialities. The wine list is outstanding.
