Alexis Ong catches up with Amoy Street’s most colourful character for a quick chat
How long have you decorated your bike this way?
It’s been about three years now.
Why did you decide to do it?
Why? Well, I like to look at the bike, I like the way it looks. I think it stands out – at first I was looking at the pannier [storage box] and felt it would be a good place to start decorating.
What do you do?
I work at stall 76 over there, over at the Amoy Street Food Centre.
Do you get bothered by curious tourists?
No. I like talking to them. They like to ask if they can take photos of me with the bike – a lot of them ask if I am taking part in a motorcycle competition, but I tell them no, I just think it looks pretty.
