Lies to tell tourists
If you know where to look, you can find gutsy entrepreneurs hawking illegal chewing gum on Sentosa and outlying islands like St John’s. In some instances, you can even score bubblegum. But buyers beware: if you get caught with more than three packs of gum (of either kind), you can face a hefty fine or even serious jail time for ‘intent to sell’.
