If the arrival of Oosh at Tanglin Village (Dempsey Hill) formerly known as Dempsey Road signals anything, it is that the former British Army barracks district is going the upscale route. The alfresco bar and restaurant comes with cosy, mood-lit cabanas, numerous water features, a nifty on-call service button and an extensive (and expensive) drinks list rife with premium top-shelf liquors. There’s even a dress code: no slippers, singlets or cut-offs.

Perhaps in an attempt to distract attention from its mediocre service, Oosh has taken on a new sous chef, Juntaro Fujimura from Nobu in Melbourne.
