Martin Rein, who began his career studying choral conducting and sacred music at the Berlin School of Music, is currently the director of music and organist at St John the Evangelist in London. Jointly organised by the Singapore Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, Pipe Works 2008 features Rein performing songs to commemorate the 100th anniversary of French composer Olivier Messiaen. Come early for a pre-concert talk on Messiaen’s music (7.15pm).
