Hailed as the ‘Nijinsky of butoh’, Akira Kasai will teach participants how to harness inner energy into an expressive dance form through improvisation. Physical senses – sight, sound, touch, taste and smell – are transformed into movement with a series of exercises. Kasai will help participants explore the connection between vocalisation, breathing and dance.
