Imperial Herbal Sin Chi Cafe
Back in 1988, Wang-Lee Tee Eng spotted a niche market in Singapore. She opened Imperial Herbal in her family-owned hotel, the Metropole on Seah Street and never looked back. Over the years, she has infused her menu with all manner of exotica, of which the deer penis soup is probably the most confrontational.
