Bombay Cafe
With pink walls and plasma screens showing energetic Bollywood numbers, this is a cheerful little haven. Friendly servers plonk down plate after plate of Bombay street food. Try the gol gappa – golden semolina puffs served with a potato-pea mix and mint and tamarind sauce – and the huge, golden dosai filled with everything from spinach to grated cheese, accompanied by flavourful mint, tomato and coconut relishes.

The Bombay Cafe serves mediocre and indigestible food at inflated prices and with surly and slow service to boot. The waiters look and act like bouncers at a club.
