Rijsttafel is a Dutch-Indonesian hybrid of a buffet, but served to guests at the table all at once. Rice Table loads up on a never-ending flow of little plates filled with an astonishing range of meats, vegetables and flavours: satay, tahu telor, turmeric-tinged chicken curry, otah-otah, fried potato dumplings, thick rust-coloured beef rendang and more. At lunch, expect around 14 dishes, and a gut-busting 20 at dinner. The service is fast and furious, and it’s easily one of the best value meals in town.
