The tagline is ‘Serving Generations with Heartwarming Food since 1981’, and nearly 30 years later, it’s all still very good. Better yet: the large portions are well priced and everything arrives at the table at a clip, which might explain the high turnover of customers, especially at weekends. Highlights include a pleasantly nutty gado-gado (crunchy vegetable salad), an intensely spicy beef rendang, and a terrific ayam korma (chicken bathed in a sunny, turmeric-hued coconut gravy). On a recent visit though, the soto ayam (chicken soup) was unbearably salty.
