True Blue Cuisine
A two-storey shophouse, with Peranakan jewellery and clothing for sale on the ground floor, and this cosy little restaurant upstairs. The food is quietly triumphant; fried spring rolls scented with five-spices; dense chicken stews studded with tropical nuts; and deliciously tart salads of baby pink prawns and banana flowers. Other favourites incude wok-charred okra and creamy beef rendang.

Beware of dishes being offered as they are the most expensive. Single prawns charged at $15 plus each. Chilli sambal sauce is extra, oh and dont speak to the manager/owner to complain about poor service and rip off prices he wont listen. Even if you dont use the hand towel YOU WILL BE CHARGED!
I am a great fan of peranakan food. Frankly I think there are many cosier places with food quality and authenticity. The restaurant closes at 10 SHARP. So even if you had unfinished food on the table, the food will be taken away without asking. Lights get dimmed at 10 SHARP. Only suitable for anyone who likes bad service.
