It’s not often you find a favourite hangout in Bishan that you really want to go to every week. But you’ll strike gold with the Canopy café, located within the leafy gardens of Aramsa Spa in Bishan Park. This café is open all day, every day, serving a tantalising range of tasty treats. Start the day off with two eggs in any style ($7). Later on, try a classic and giant BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato) sandwich ($11), or a hearty steak sandwich ($15.50); and then come back at dinnertime for the creamy duck meatballs with fettuccine ($18.50). With the most expensive item on the menu being a lamb fillet at $26.50, we’ll be back here often. The garden setting is truly idyllic and the service refreshingly friendly. Sure beats going into town.
