If you are a cheese lover look no further: chefs Julien Bompard and Edith Lai-Bompard of the French restaurant Le Saint Julien have opened La Fromagerie, 'Singapore's first farm cheese and gourmet concept store' on Mohamed Sultan Road. With over 150 varieties of cheese on offer, it's easy to while away more time than you'd expected trying to choose what to buy. If you get overwhelmed by the choice (or smell), enlist the help of the  very knowledgable staff - they're on hand to guide you,  and for that matter let you taste, anything you are curious about. As well as cheese there are cured meats, fresh bread, oils and wine to tempt you and your wallet; and if you've got more time, have a seat and enjoy a cheese platter at one of the tables at the back.
