Sepang starts its engines

Once the powers that be greenlight Singapore’s very own F1 races – and there’s no reason they shouldn’t, as it means the cool ker-ching of cash registers for the tourism industry – we’ll no longer have to swing up to Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit to fulfill our need for speed. Till that day comes, Sepang is the closest F1 track to home, and it is hosting the second round of the 2007 Formula One World Championship starting 6 April. Who will steal the limelight this year? Our money is on Malaysian-born action queen (and Ferrari boss ladyfriend) Michelle Yeoh. And she’s not even driving. 6-8 Apr; 9am-6pm. Three-day passes RM50-RM1,950. Sepang, Malaysia (+603 8778 2222, www.malaysiangp.com.my).
