The Europe Music Awards are a funny thing. You would think they would feature European musicians and artists, but American bands once again dominated the nominations, and they’re even hosted by American rapper Snoop Dogg. Thankfully, there is a nod towards European artists: Amy Winehouse, Muse, French duo Justice and German rockers Tokio Hotel all scoop up awards. The rest were won by American artists, with Avril Lavigne named Best Solo Artist and her song ‘Girlfriend’ named Most Addictive Track.
