A five-hour joint BBC and HBO mini-series about the disappearance of a young wife and mother just outside London. As the name implies, the series takes place over five days of the mystery. It starts with a standard homicide investigation and brings together the news conferences, police interrogations and family meltdowns as an unclichéd, intricately layered narrative. By day 79, the sheer number of plotlines can be overwhelming, but follow it through and you will be rewarded with the story’s eye for detail.
