A gripping series based on the experiences of self-proclaimed spiritual medium Allison DuBois (played by the talented Patricia Arquette), who has helped law-enforcement agencies across the US solve numerous crimes. DuBois is tormented regularly by ambiguous visions of murderers, serial killers and child abductors. While her behaviour often comes across as bizarre and embarrassing, the struggles she faces in her head do come across as being very real. While season two continues to feature genuinely compelling, even shocking moments, there is more of a focus on DuBois’ personal life, and thus the series assumes a calmer pace compared to the first season.
