What has been aptly described as a ‘forensic fairy tale’ features an equally unique protagonist: Ned, a pie maker with an extraordinary gift. Not only can he momentarily bring back life through touch – 60 seconds to be precise – but he can also cause death with a second touch. Before long, a private investigator learns about his preternatural ability, and convinces him to bring corpses back to life to reveal their killers, then ‘kill’ them off once the murderer’s identity has been revealed. Things get a little more complicated when he decides to resurrect his childhood sweetheart, Chuck. The catch is, he can never touch her again – if he does, she will be gone forever. It’s a black comedy sprinkled with macabre twists.
