‘I liiiike… ’ A cult film if there ever was one. Comedic chameleon Sacha Baron Cohen takes on the persona of boorish, bumbling Kazakhstan TV reporter Borat, who embarks on a journey through the United States to learn more about American culture. Ambushing real, unsuspecting strangers on the streets, the country bumpkin from Central Asia evokes reactions that are often hilariously and brutally honest (or ignorant). Not quite a groundbreaking cinematic concept – after all, many of us have already become familiar with Cohen’s Ali G Indahouse – but nonetheless entertaining and insightful.
