Druggists: This bar has 23 beers on tap

In our February issue, we told you about all the wonderful craft beers available in Singapore, but here's more tap-tastic news. This thirsty city gets 23 craft beers on draft (the current record holder until a 30-tap bar opens in March!) at Druggists, a new bar in the Jalan Besar neighbourhood.

Sounding very much like the feeders of your new habit, the bar set up by distributor duo Corrine Chia and Lincoln Goh of The Drinking Partners gets its name from the Singapore Chinese Druggists Association, with which it shares the building. The interiors, mostly hand-built and put together by the pair, feature marble-topped tables, old-school kopitiam-esque wooden chairs and mosaic floor tiles to get trippy over.

And, of course, you're dying to know what's on tap. Geeks will freak out at the advanced selection of imperial stouts, IPAs and sour beers by the likes of Mikkeller, To Øl and Prairie Artisan Ales – which the Partners distribute – but there's also a more approachable range of easy-drinking pale ales and hopped lagers to ease into. For something to munch on, a small kitchen at the back dishes out snacks like coffee pork ribs ($8), sambal anchovies ($4) and Sichuan pickles ($2), all designed to pair with the pours. Time for a beer treat, we think!
