These animals are definitely more famous than you.

Ugs

Age One and a half years old

Breed Holland Lop

Her human Stella Tan says:

‘Blueberries, apples, romaine lettuce and boxes are her obsessions – she loves hopping onto any box lying around, or flopping under the sofa for an afternoon nap. She also adores head rubs, and she’ll stay still for hours so long as you keep patting. And she’ll actually come running when you call her name.’

Butter

Age Two years old

Breed Shetland Sheepdog

Her human Eileen Cheng says:

‘On a typical weekend, Butter, my husband and I will wake up together and have breakfast as a family. We’ll explore new places and parks, or meet up with her doggie friends to play – she enjoys running around, picnicking and just chasing other canines on a field, especially at Marina Barrage and Gardens by the Bay. And to cap off the day, the three of us usually snuggle together to catch a show at home.’

Mister Ken

Age Nine years old

Breed Unknown, but his human likes to think he has Siberian roots

His human Alyona Yakovleva says:

‘Until two years ago, we thought he was mute because he never ever made any sound. But we put him on a diet – he was overweight – and suddenly the meows came. So that’s how he starts his day: going from room to room meowing for his breakfast. Then he takes a long nap, interrupted by bird-watching, more begging for food, and supervising any unusual people around the house (such as the air-con repairman or part-time cleaner).

He loves sitting by the window beside the trees so he can “talk” to the birds and squirrels. In the evenings, he likes to lie down beside the fridge (I think it’s because it blows hot air). He doesn’t like being alone and always needs company – and he also has a thing for flowers.’

Duckie and Duckinson

Age Two years old

Breed Muscovy ducks

Their human Lim Siu Fang says:

‘Duckie got dropped when he was a few months old, resulting in him being bit kum gong (slow), whereas Duckinson is assertive and aggressive. They show their affection by physically hurting me, which I’m learning to accept. I think Duckinson is particularly obsessed with me – he can spot me from miles away. Sometimes, I hang out in their cages and we spend quality time being emotionally there for one another. It’s ducking good fun.’

Teddy

Age About two years old

Breed Rex guinea pig

His human Tan Cai Ning says:

‘Teddy never fails to wake the whole family up around 6am for food. Then he alternates between sleeping and eating. At around 4.30pm, he’ll be up, waiting for my mum to start preparing dinner. The moment he hears the fridge door open, he’ll start running around his cage and squeaking at the top of his tiny lungs. When he gets let out of his cage for floor time, he’ll either look around the house for things to hoard or park himself in front of the fridge.’
