Singapore has a pretty good stock of cocktail bars of great calibre, but the city's cocktail culture is about to get even better. Come March 7 to 14, the best bars and talent on our shores gather to celebrate Cocktail Week.

This inaugural affair is put together by newish events outfit, Curated Events, with the support of the local bar industry, drinks makers William Grant & Sons, and a glitzy bill of almost 30 of Singapore's top cocktail bars – 28HKS, Anti:dote, La Maison du Whisky, The Library and The Cufflink Club all included. The eight-day schedule features a series of cocktail workshops, spirit-themed cocktail tours and pop-up bars around town. A roster of ten international bartenders will also drop by for guest shifts at our favourite watering holes, while the city's leading bar talents will be honoured at the return of the Singapore Bar Awards on March 8.

To join in on the fun, get a set of eight wristbands, one for each day of the Week ($28/early bird from Jan 19; $38 after). Wristband holders enjoy free drinks at pop-up events, signature cocktails at $14 at the participating bars, and 10 percent off tours and workshops held during the week. Tickets go on sale Jan 19 at www.singaporecocktailweek.com.sg.
