Hands up if you think Milo from the truck tastes better than anything you can manage at home. Nathan Hartono sure does, which is why in an interview that has since gone viral, the local singer has promised to rent a fleet of Milo vans and dispatch them to all corners of Singapore – if he ends up winning the reality competition, Sing! China.

But Milo itself isn’t gonna wait for the results. The brand is rolling out a Milo van to Plaza Singapura on Friday October 7, from 11am to 8pm, and has plans to mobilise even more trucks across the north, south, east, west and central districts of the island.

‘Win or lose, Singaporeans will get their Milo peng,’ said Chow Phee Chat, director of marketing communications and corporate affairs of Nestlé Singapore. ‘This is to show our appreciation for Nathan Hartono’s remarkable achievements, as well as all Singaporeans who have contributed to the country in one way or another.’

A few of our more – shall we say – enamoured colleagues had hoped Hartono will be there in person, but unfortunately for them, the musician will be competing Friday evening at Beijing National Stadium. So be sure to wish him your best as your slurp up an ice-cold mug of the chocolate drink.
