Our favourite things about ‘Great World Cabaret’

As Sally once sang in Kander and Ebb’s brilliant musical, Cabaret: ‘What good is sitting alone in your room? Come hear the music play. Life is a cabaret, old chum, come to the cabaret.’ So heed the lyrical advice and shimmy your way into Singapore’s golden age of the 1970s with Dream Academy and Resorts World Sentosa’s latest production, Great World Cabaret. While the show itself can be a bit too cheesy at times, there’s still plenty of fun to be had. We’ll let the pictures do the talking:

A sizzling hot cast of guys and gals in gorgeous, glittery, sexy outfits.

The three leading ladies – Rose Chan (Seong HuiXuan), Kartina Dahari (Aisyah Aziz) and Sakura Teng (Joanna Dong) – singing in, or even as, flowers.

Some old school magic tricks by JC Lum.

Hilarious stand-up skits by one of Singapore’s best comedians: Mark Lee, who just ended his run this week, Hossan Leong (Feb 26-Mar 3), Sebastian Tan (Mar 5-10) and Judee Tan (Mar 12-17).

Amazing feats of acrobatics by the Qingdao Acrobatic Troupe.

Great World Cabaret is at Resorts World Theatre until Mar 17.
