Brewerkz Restaurant & Micro Brewery

If you’re looking to satisfy your mid-day cravings with a glass of ice-cold beer, head down to a Brewerkz outlet for lunch. Between noon and 3pm, enjoy half-priced beer with their lunchtime happy-hour promotions. At just five bucks for a 300ml glass, you can enjoy an inexpensive complement to your meal with their signature Golden Ale, Singapore Pale Ale, Pilsner or Wheat Beer. Other branches: Brewerkz @ Indoor Stadium and Dempsey.

Five Izakaya Bar

Popular among Tokyo worker bees, Japanese izakayas are cheap drinking and snacking bars that provide an ideal setting to destress and socialise after a hectic day of work. Moulding itself after this formula, Five Izakaya (conveniently located at the heart of Collyer Quay) serves Asahi draught all day, every day at five dollars for half a pint. If Asahi isn’t your choice of poison, booze up on a range of international beers at just 30 bucks for a bucket of five. We’ll high-five to that!

The 1925 Microbrewery & Restaurant

Hit up the Jalan Besar digs of this gastropub during happy hour (Mon-Thu & Sat 2-6pm, 10pm-midnight) and enjoy a half-pint of draft beef at $5 a glass. They carry five draft beers on tap, two of which are brewed in-house: Order The Yellow Van for a light beer with a hint of tropical sweetness, or Small Monster if you like it hoppy. Get the Mixed Skins Sampler ($16) if you're looking for bar grub. There are also pastas and burgers on the menu.

Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore (Tiger Brewery)

For hardcore fans of the hoppy stuff, you can now take a tour of the Tiger Brewery right here in Singapore for just $10.70! Get an inside look into the ingredients and processes used for brewing this award-winning beer. And what brewery experience would be complete without a beer tasting session? Within a 45-minute sampling period, one can gulp down unlimited amounts of Tiger Beer. With just two mugs amounting to $5.35 each, surely this counts as one of the cheapest beer experiences in Singapore.

Cuscaden Patio Cafe and Pub

Visit this Cuscaden pub before 10pm every day, where ten bucks will get you two bottles of Stella Artois or San Miguel Light. To quell those hunger pangs, light snacks such as chicken wings, mee goreng and potato wedges are also on the menu. Top it all up with screenings of live football matches and you’ve just found your new hangout.
