Time Out says

With Crossroads Cafe being smack bang in the middle of Orchard Road, you know that eager crowds will soon be flocking to this alfresco space. All the more when they have Happy Hour specials starting from $13.50++ – this includes a range of draught beer, red and white wines, house spirits, and signature cocktails. With a pint of ice-cold beer or refreshingly minty mojito, there’s every reason to make Crossroads Cafe your new hangout spot.

They’ve also recently launched a new a la carte menu – a delectable showcase of cuisines with a distinct East-meets-West approach. The star of the show is the Crossroads grilled  chicken ($30), which sits on a bed of pearl barley and edamame risotto. This fork-tender butterflied half chicken is beautifully roasted for a crisp skin, with parmesan and prosciutto atop. The pan-seared halibut ($39) is also a solid choice: its braised endive and crispy lotus root offers an interesting mishmash of textures. This seafood dish also goes swimmingly well with a dollop of caviar sauce.

If you’re craving for something closer to home, the beef hor fun ($28) is another must-try. This local favourite is just the way we like it – heavy in smoky wok hei flavours with generous toppings of sliced beef, mushroom, chye sim, and egg.

Make sure to also try one of Crossroads Cafe’s sharing plates. With bites like lobster croquette ($21 for five) or grilled black lip mussels ($23) dressed with a Vietnamese nuoc cham dressing, you’ll be more than satiated by the end of your meal. As a classic sharing dish, the truffle fries ($19) loaded with melted parmesan and manchego cheese are also bound to be a hit.

Those looking for a late-night supper spot in Orchard – you’re in luck. Crossroads Cafe is open from day to night, and has recently extended their hours to midnight (Sunday to Thursday) and even to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. This alfresco café is perfect for everything from a relaxing Sunday brunch to a boozy night out.
