What's on this week
ONE: Warrior's Quest
Limbs will go limp and heads will roll – okay, not really – at the ONE: Warrior’s Quest MMA tournament. ONE Lightweight World Champion Shinya Aoki puts his title on the line and faces off against his countryman Koji Ando, but it’s not the main event we’re excited about. Three local fighters are set to put their martial arts mastery to the test: Stephen Langdown, Benedict Ang and Angela Lee, with the latter two making their ONE Championship debuts.
Zouk 24th Anniversary: The Zouk Playground
This is one playground you’ll want to run around in. Think psychedelic colours, crazy cute mascots and, of course, booze galore. And rest assured there’ll be no screaming children disrupting Zouk’s 24th anniversary.
Nadir Mehadji: City Lights
The locally based French photographer continues his late-night journeys into the backstreets to present a more complete series of his discoveries.
Arnaud Nazare-Aga: The Little Prince
Thirteen lacquered white sculptures by the French artist – all of which are inspired by the illustrations of Antoine de Saint Exupéry’s The Little Prince – are showcased in the dark. Part of Voilah! French Festival Singapore.
The Gingerbread Man
Filled with catchy songs and a colourful cast of characters, this I Theatre production begins when a Little Old Man and a Little Old Woman accidentally create a gingerbread man who turns out to be more of a handful than they had anticipated. A delicious mayhem, of course, ensues.
