Nicely located on Marjan hill, this low-key attraction offers something to take the kids to Split. It's more of a farm than a fully blown zoological garden as you'd find in Zagreb, but the sundry domestic creatures - birds of prey, wolves - provide a mildly diverting hour or two.

I was totally horrified by this place, it is an absolute disgrace. To see a lame tiger pacing up and down in a dirty, concrete cage the size of a dog pen: a wolf in distress with an obvious ear infection, shaking its head incessantly . Bears sat in dirty, tiny pens. I could not bear to look the animals in the eye; to think in this day and age we are still treating these beautiful, sentient beings in this inhumane way - absolutely shocking!! This place must be closed down immediately.
the most depressing zoo i have ever seen, bears and wolves kept in tiny enclosures with little shade, no distractions, and in some cases no water, solitary monkeys and a mandarill also in tiny enclosures, being fed smarties and plastic-wrapped sweets by locals, no staff visible to stop them, most of the animals pecking in the dry rocks that form the floor of their pens, this place should be condemned!
