Motions

Six artists from Indonesia, Singapore, China, Japan and Hong Kong team up for this multi-genre group exhibit featuring work in media including film, photos, installation and performance. The unifying theme is of course motion, with the participants expressing movement of the body, mind and imagination. The local representative is Hiraki Sawa, now based in London, who presents 2010 video piece 'Tracking' – a monochrome work with white birds crossing a black sky, their movement invoking in the viewer an experience of moving in the same direction and speed as the birds.
