What's better than a hi-tech aquarium? A snow-themed hi-tech aquarium! When we heard that Epson Aqua Park Shinagawa has recently transformed into a winter wonderland, we went along to check it out. Produced by Naked (the company behind Flowers by Naked at Coredo Muromachi and the Tokyo Hikari Vision installation at Tokyo Station), the installation presents a sparkling, romantic marine world with snow- and ice-themed 3D projection-mapped objects. Called Snow Aquarium by Naked, it magically blends the colours of the sea with the white of winter.

As you walk in, you'll pass the Frozen Coral Gate, an arch made to look like an icy coral reef, before arriving at the aquarium bar – which is now called the Frozen Bar and features projection-mapped snowflakes and winter-themed drinks such as beer-based White Frozen cocktails and ice-cold bottles of Smirnoff Ice. With drinks in hand, we moved on to the Jellyfish Rumble section, which has cleverly positioned lights to create the illusion of snow within the tanks. Next, in the Aqua Jungle area, which houses tropical animals such as chameleons and capybaras, Swarovski crystals made to look like glowworms hang from the ceiling giving the room a mysterious ambience. Definitely the prettiest winter scenery you're going to see this season.

Snow Aquarium by Naked is on at Epson Aqua Park Shinagawa until April 10, from 10am to 10pm (last entry 9pm). Entrance ¥2,200, elementary and junior high school students ¥1,200, 4-year-olds up to junior high students ¥700.
