Akasaka Sacas

Centred around the TBS Broadcasting Center, this sprawling complex was named to represent both the blooming of the cherry blossoms (sakura sakasu in Japanese) and the many inclines (saka) in the Akasaka area including Sanbunzaka, Yagenzaka, Tangozaka and Hikawasaka. Read from the right, 'Akasaka Sacas' becomes 'saca – saka – saka'. It includes shops, restaurants and a business tower as well as entertainment facilities including the gig spot Akasaka Blitz and the Akasaka ACT Theater. Over 100 cherry blossom trees can be seen blooming here in spring.
