Cameron House review

After 20-plus years, the Cameron remains a favourite with Queen West bohemian hipsters. The eclectic booking policy meanders through cabaret, country, jazz, swing, folk and rock territory, but experimental theatre troupes, poets and spoken-word artists are also hosted. In the front bar, Kevin Quain's Mad Bastards holds court on Sunday nights and the Cameron Family Singers throw down some ol' country on Saturdays (6-8pm); the other gigs are in the back room. There's no cover in the front room, but be ready when they pass the hat around.
