This historic Victorian mansion is tucked away on a quiet Annex road just off Bloor Street West. It has 23 rooms, each individually decorated by co-owner Isabel Manore (she and husband David also own the adjoining Madison Avenue Pub. Furnished with antiques found in Queen Street boutiques, the rooms possess character but vary in size, price and the number of amenities. Four have fireplaces and three have balconies (note that some are disturbingly close to the patios of the bar next door, though staff say they have never had complaints). The hotel gives discounts to U of T students' parents, but people under 19 are not allowed. Rates include continental breakfast.
