The swing revival may be dead as a doornail in most places, but it lives on in this basement lounge, underneath the eye-catching Flatiron building. Close to the St Lawrence Centre for the Performing Arts and the Sony Centre, it is an ideal place to kick back with a post-theatre Martini and listen to Toronto's best swing bands and such fine singers as Tory Cassis and Alex Pangman. Low ceilings and brick pillars, high tables and long, velvet couches set the scene. The food's a tad pricey, but worth it. The place gets packed at weekends, but there's always a couple or two who find space to dance.
