This classy folk club was a dream of Richard and Hugh Carson. Hugh died before the dream was realised, but his name and spirit lives on in this West End venue. Hugh's Room attracts attentive, if sometimes slightly uptight, audiences, many of whom come for dinner plus the show. The booking policy includes world beat, blues and singer-songwriters, alongside traditional artists in its broad definition of folk. Such big draws as the McGarrigle Sisters and the Strawbs have played here.
