The basement of the hip Drake Hotel possesses an underground artistic sensibility. Local artists and musicians have taken to this intimate, well-designed space, which features superior sound and a fun video jukebox. The vibe is suited to cabaret-styled or maverick acts, and the room has hosted memorable performances from the likes of Broken Social Scene and Juana Molina. It is also used for performance art, comedy, film, spoken word and board-game nights.
