In the heart of the Financial District, the Toronto Dominion Tower offers some of the best modernist eye candy in town. Now celebrity chef Mark McEwen has created a split-level dining room at the base of the towers. Sleek and glamorous, it's a favourite with the high rollers of Bay Street, who dine on contemporary, finely crafted dishes. Even the burger is sumptuous: an eight ounce beauty topped with melted brie and porcini mushrooms. There is a staggering, 5,000-bottle wine cellar and the menus offer suggested pairings. Foie gras andchampagne are staples.
