A simple French café and bistro on the Queen West strip. The quaint dining room has a distinctively buttery scent (it must be the quiches and crêpes). Popular at lunchtime, it attracts office types and local artists who are taking a break from the rat race, dining on flavourful sandwiches and hearty salads. Most mains are served with frites, and the tarte tatin will leave you humming the Marseillaise. With all the trendy restaurants and fusion overkill in town, it's refreshing to find good, hearty French fare.
