Susur Lee is a celebrity on a scale like no other Canadian chef: witness his role as a contestant on the American TV game show Iron Chef. And the glamour can be felt at this minimalist haven, which offers a feast for the senses. Main courses might appear to be standard haute-cuisine fare - lamb and pork tenderloin, lobster tail and roast quail - but are treated to Lee's unique take on Asian fusion. His famous six-course tasting menu - $120 and three delicious hours - starts with mains and is followed by appetisers, soup and dessert (you can also dine the traditional way). Not for the timid of palate - or small of appetite - and best consumed by those with wallets as expandable as their belts.
