The craze for sushi might have spawned a wealth of cheap imitations, but Ematei offers an authentic taste of Tokyo. In spite of an obscure location on a blah street and a decor that is more tacky than traditional, Japanese tourists and local diehards have worn a path here in search of generous hot-pots, top-grade hand rolls and airy tempura. Good deals are found with the three-course menus. Near the Art Gallery of Ontario.
