Chef Massimo Capra and partner Paolo Paolini have created a restaurant that is elegant enough for a special occasion, but friendly enough for a casual meal. Everyone comes for home-made pastas, traditional fare such as veal scaloppine and fish soup. Standouts include a red-beet risotto and melt-in-your-mouth gnocchi. There is a fine selection of vino. Upstairs is Sopra Upper Lounge, a jazz lounge where lasagne is served with live music. The jury is still out on whether this particular combination works.
