Though operated by a non-Japanese restaurateur, this Forest Hill stalwart nevertheless knows what its diners want: generous portions; relaxed, attentive service; and none of the harsh lighting and dubious offerings of many fast-food sushi joints. On the contrary, you'll want to spend the night savouring the plump sashimi, hand rolls and tempura that won't wilt in your grasp. And you may learn a thing or two from the staff about saké.
