Before falafel became the standard pub-crawler's snack, there was Jerusalem, frequented mainly by local Jewish families. It's not quite as dowdy as its environs would suggest. And its menu flows from meze to mains to fresh seafood. You won't find dips this tantalising on most of the finer Middle Eastern menus. There are more tasting platters than dishes, which appeals to the adventurous diner.
