Some people forget that College Street is as Iberian as it is Italian. And this elegant, formal restaurant is devoted exclusively to Portuguese cuisine. The modern rooms carry some traditions from the old country: family parties, girls in frilly dresses and awkward boys in their suits. But the traditionalists eat alongside trendy young couples and businessmen. They all come for one thing: the fish, which is flown in fresh most days of the week (including marinated sardines, octopus salad, giant shrimp). Side orders of vegetables are done to perfection. If you are not a seafood eater, choose from farm-raised capon and organic chicken. The wine list, purported to be the biggest collection of Portuguese grapes on the continent, has something for everyone (madeira and port are a forte). The bar next door has a more relaxed vibe.
