This restored Victorian hotel is ground zero for the indie arts scene. The Melody Bar is a large, wood-panelled room with faux-marble columns and leatherette banquettes. It plays to all tastes, from a gay night (Wednesday) to the city's best karaoke (Thursday to Saturday). On other nights, there are bands and DJs.
