The upmarket twin of Chapters, Indigo is the better looking of the two huge book outlets, with a clean colour scheme and snazzy design. Still, rummaging through Indigo is like shopping at IKEA: you're there because you have to be (it has virtually monopolised the market). Still, most locations have a café and this branch is actually a pleasant meeting place. New release fiction is on the main level and the lower level has a CD store and a great selection of travel books. Apart from its huge selection of books and magazines, Indigo's best asset is its book-signing events - celebrity authors often make pitstops for signings or promotions.
