Social consciousness and groceries didn't mix back when this worker-owned cooperative opened 20 years ago. Today, even though prices are what you'd expect in a niche market, it's near impossible to squeeze in here - especially at weekends - even though it's the biggest natural-food store in the city. Expect to find free-range chicken and eggs, sustainably harvested fish, supplements, organic meat, and just about anything else you can imagine.
